Mhlakela's Julian-Calendar Rapture: October 7-8, 2025
Rapture Preacher Blames the Calendar, Moves Rapture to Oct 7-8: 'I'm a Billion Percent Sure'
When Sept 24, 2025 passed without a rapture, Joshua Mhlakela switched to the Julian calendar and named Oct 7-8. The calendar didn't help.
What was said
“The seventh and eighth of October is the real Feast of the Trumpets. I'm a billion percent sure.”
— Joshua Mhlakela (South African preacher, in YouTube interviews) · said Sep 26, 2025 · due October 7-8, 2025
October 8 ended on both calendars. A billion percent turned out to be the same as zero.
The Story
September 23 and 24, 2025 came and went, and Joshua Mhlakela was still here to explain why. The South African preacher had not got the date wrong, he said. He had got the calendar wrong.
In a follow-up interview with CENTTWINZ TV on September 26, he said Jesus would not use the Gregorian calendar. He would use the Julian one, which runs 13 days behind. Add 13 days and the rapture lands on October 7-8.
'The seventh and eighth of October is the real Feast of the Trumpets,' he said. 'I'm a billion percent sure.'
The Delay
He said he had asked God why nothing happened, and was told: 'Days from now, I will rapture my church.' The wait, he said, was a delay that had to be fulfilled. 'Keep the lamp burning.'
Day Two
October 7 passed. So did October 8, on the Julian calendar and every other one.
He did not stop. In March 2026 he named April 4-5, with May 14 as a hard stop, and in September 2026 he named October 12-13, 2026, his 'final' date.
Receipts
The date and the quotes come from a CENTTWINZ TV YouTube interview on September 26, 2025, as reported by the Statesman and The South African (published September 28, 2025). The South African's wording is 'The 7th and 8th of October'.
