Said in an interview with Peter H. Diamandis for the Moonshots and Mindsets podcast, reported by Decrypt on July 3, 2023. Decrypt also quoted him citing GitHub data that '41% of all code right now is AI generated.'
Two weeks later he told UBS analysts that in India 'outsourced coders up to level three programmers will be gone in the next year or two, whereas in France, you'll never fire a developer' (CNBC, July 18, 2023).
CNBC said he reiterated the 'no more programmers' line, with the caveat that he meant coders in the traditional sense.
